Shona’s journey into adaptive Pilates began with her own challenges. Originally trained as a dancer, she suffered a serious injury and was later diagnosed with hypermobility, alongside persistent issues including headaches, neck and back pain, tinnitus, and muscle weakness. Discovering Pilates transformed her physical and mental wellbeing, inspiring her to train as an instructor after the birth of her third child.

This lived experience informs every class at All Abilities Pilates. Shona understands the barriers people face and has built a practice around one core belief: “Pilates is possible for anybody who really wants it.”
